제목 Preparation and Properties of Microcapsules Using Melamine Resin via In-Situ Polymerization
초록 Microcapsules containing halogenated hydrocarbon / Isopar-G oil mixtures were fabricated by an in-situ polymerization method using melamine-formaldehyde resins as wall materials. Poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonic acid) (PSSA) was utilized to stabilize oil emulsion droplet in aqueous medium. Melamine-formaldehyde resins were formed by carrying out a polycondensation reaction in emulsion globules. The pH of the emulsion medium was an important factor for the encapsulation physical properties. In this study, the pH of the solution was maintained at 4.5~5.5 during the reaction. The shape and size of synthesized microcapules were determined by an optical microscope(OM). In addition, the surface morphology was observed via scanning electron microscope (SEM).
