Heteroatom doped graphene is one of the most attractive strategy to improve electrochemical performance of energy storage system. Among heteroatoms, nitrogen doped graphene is effective for lithium-sulfur battery, because nitrogen atom can improve properties of graphene to overcome typical problems. Nitrogen-doped graphene nanosheet (NGS) composites were synthesized by facile thermal solid-states reaction of graphene and urea. The prepared NGS was then added into sulfur suspension. The morphology of the composite was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM). Functional groups and bonding characterization were scanned by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Electrochemical properties were also characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1M LiTFSI electrolyte. Nitrogen atoms of graphene could be attributed to high capacity and stability of lithium-sulfur battery. |
