제목 Luminescence Properties of Organic/Inorganic Sol-Gel Nanohybrid Films Containing Er-doped LaPO4/ LaPO4 Core/Shell Nanoparticles
초록 The development of planar optical amplifiers is very essential for the realization of integrated optic (IO) technology to considerably diminish the size and cost of optical devices. During the past few years, purely inorganic sol-gel derived materials and inorganic/organic hybrid materials prepared from organically modified silanes have been applied to prepare Er3+ doped planar waveguide amplifiers. However, it is not easy to fabricate Er3+ doped waveguide amplifiers (EDWA) with high gain due to the quenching parameters such as the clustering of Er3+ ions by the short path length compared with Er3+ doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA), –OH and –CH groups still remaining in inorganic/organic hybrid materials heat-treated at a low temperature. In this work, the organic/inorganic sol-gel nanohybrid films including Er-doped LaPO4/LaPO4 core/shell nanoparticles were prepared in attempt to minimize the quenching groups and enhance the luminescence properties of Er3+. Er-doped LaPO4/LaPO4 core/shell nanoparticles were synthesized by the solution method using a high boiling coordinating solvent. Silica-based resin was prepared from 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPS), diphenylsilanediol (DPSD) and phenyltrimethoxysilane(PTS) by non-hydrolytic sol-gel method. Nanohybrid films were fabricated by the single-step spin coating technique and thermally cured after combining the core/shell nanoparticles and the silica-based resin. The optical properties of films were investigated photoluminescence spectroscopic studies.
