제목 Light-Driven Soft Actuators for Micro-Mechanical Applications
초록 The development of photo-responsive micro actuation materials that show two-dimensional and bending movement is of increasing interest, because these materials have potential applications as smart materials for converting optical energy into mechanical energy. In this talk, we present the semi-interpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN) films with photo-mechanical switching ability. The semi-IPN film was developed by a cationic polymerization of vinyl ethers-containing azobenzene moieties in polycarbonate (PC) matrix. The semi-IPN film showed rapid photo-mechanical response on the photo-switching in an order of seconds, without any external heat supply. The photo-mechanical switching was able to be repeated for more than 100 times with high reproducibility.
