Layer-by-Layer Self-Assembly of Chitosan and γ-Polyglutamic acid onto PLGA nano-particles |

In this study, we fabricated poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles (PLGA NPs) coated with cationic and anionic polyelectrolytes using layer-by-layer approach. Chitosan and poly (γ-glutamic acid) were alternatively deposited on PLGA NPs at pH 5.5. Using PLGA NPs containing FITC-OVA proteins, the intracellular delivery capacity of charged PLGA NPs were investigated. The cellular uptake and effect on cell viability of PLGA NPs into immune cells and cancer cells were dependent on the final surface charge of PLGA NPs. |
