Conventional Layer-by-Layer assembly technique had difficulties of performing on a chairside and a problem of site-selective fabrication. Thus, we introduced a new brush LbL self-assembly technique which stands for the film fabrication method of simply brushing positively and negatively charged polyelectrolytes sequentially. We analyzed the intermolecular interaction of the multilayer films prepared by brush LbL and studied characteristics of the films, such as film morphology, thickness, QCM analysis and region-selective property, compared to classic dipping LbL. In addition, we prepared multilayer films incorporated with Poly(ethylene glycol)-block-Poly(caprolactone) (PEG-b-PCL) block copolymer micelles of delivering hydrophobic drug with biocompatible polyelectrolytes, chitosan and alginate. Lastly by investigating the degradation and release profile of the multilayer films, we could draw the possibility of biomedical applications of the multilayer film by brush LbL method. |
