Electrical characteristics of Ionic Transition Metal based Light-emitting Electrochemical Cells using Ruthenium(II) Complex |

We have investigated the electrical properties of LEECs(light-emitting electrochemical cells) based on Tris(2,2'bipyridyl) Ruthenium(II) hexafluorophosphate single-layered structure. Ruthnium(II) complex was spin-coated onto the ITO glass substrate. The electrical and optical properties of the cells were monitored using optical spectrometer. Turn-on voltage was less than 3 volts, and the surface morphology and electrical properties of the light-emitting layer were affected by the Ru(II) complex layer thickness as well as the thermal treatment of the layer. |
