제목 | Photodynamic agent conjugated with targeting moiety and polymer for metastatic cancer treatment |
초록 | Photodynamic therapy induces cancer cell death by using reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated from photosensitizer. However, photosensitizers have some limitations such as poor solubility and low targeting efficiency. In this study, photosensitizer is prepared by conjugating with targeting moiety and biocompatible polymer to overcome the side effects of photosensitizers. The cancer recurrence and metastasis make it difficult to treat cancer patients. Cancer cells modify the metabolic pathway to make energy by using fat in order to survive in lymph node environment. Therefore, conjugating fatty acids to polymeric photosensitizer can be applied to the targeted metastatic cancer therapy. |
