제목 Test of Single-Chain Glass Concept from Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Neutron Spin Echo Spectroscopy of Polynorbornenes
초록 We compare the dynamics of polynorbornene and polyisoprene in solutions by means of molecular dynamics simulations and neutron spin echo spectroscopy. The dynamics structure factors obtained from simulations are compared with neutron scattering experiments at room temperature. The chain motion of polyisoprene in solutions is found to be well described by the Zimm model for flexible random coils. However, polynorbornene shows a strong deviation from the Zimm prediction, which could be related to the “single-chain glass” concept proposed by de Gennes.
