Patterning of organic luminescent molecules in thin polymer films has attracted considerable interest as a fundamental research in surface science because of their application in photonics, optical data-storage systems, full-color displays, optoelectronics, and other related areas. Water contact angle measurements of catechol moiety polymer show changes in the angle upon altering the pH. The catechol moiety polymer was developed on PDMS stamps and imprinted onto a glass substrate, which provided a green or red fluorescent micropattern under a fluorescence microscope, making the catechol polymer a powerful tool for development of a useful patterned substrate for various applications. Therefore the visualization of the pH responsive fluorescence sensor with pattern employs straight forward discrimination between different molecules on any substrate. |
