Self-assembled materials, which include block copolymers, surfactants, and supramolecules have been studied with deep concern for their potential values to advanced material science. Among the materials, the supramolecular amphiphiles have become a topic of considerable interest as a consequence of their specific physical and chemical properties. These self-assembling materials have been recognized as powerful means of nano-patterning templates, membranes, biological mimics and opto-electronic materials, since they self-assemble into regularly ordered features with nano-sized structures. Several supramolecules which are supposed to be good material were synthesized for nano-patterning. Some of them show stable monolayer structures, which is changed to cylindrical nano-structure when they are collapsed. We hope these materials can be good nano-building block for potential application. |
