제목 Perpendicular Microdomain Orientation in High-Molecular-Weight Block Copolymer Films by Combinational Annealing
초록 Directed self-assembly of block copolymer (BCP) thin films is emerging as a potential route for numerous applications to generate templates and scaffolds for the fabrication of nanostructured materials. Fabricating periodic patterns over 100-nm period is directly related to an increase in the molecular weight of BCP. However, the translational ordering of high molecular weight block copolymer is a challenging issue, since it will be disturbed by its extremely limited chain mobility due to highly entangled conformation. In this study, the perpendicular lamellar orientation of high-molecular-weight BCP films was studied by in-situ grazing incidence small angle x-ray scattering (GISAXS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). We demonstrate the rapid evolution of a perpendicular orientation of lamellar microdomain in polystyrene-b-poly(methyl methacrylate) (PS-b-PMMA) films and their confined films by the topographically patterned substrate.
