A mutifunctional photothermal therapy (PTT) system with the ability to selectively kill cancer cells has received attention recently. There are various carbon compounds which are being studied as a main material for PTT system. Especially, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) compounds have a superior photothermal conversion efficiency compared to normal GO compounds. However, there are problems in maintaining stability and strong cytotoxicity in the body. To overcome these problems, we have manufactured a nanocompound combining rGO with modified surface and gold nanorods (AuNRs) and Chlorine e6. The physicochemical, morphological and optical properties of rGO/AuNR nanocompound were determined. Their photothermal stability was also investigated upon exposure to near-infrared (NIR) light irradiation. |
