AuNPs have highlighted as a biological sensor. Herein, we designed NAM-AuNPs for the detection of nitric oxide (NO) by inducing aggregation of gold. NO is a free radical gas, has various biological functions such as cell proliferation, antibacterial activity depending on concentration of NO. To designing NO sensing utilizing gold nanoparticle, we synthesized N-(2-aminophenyl)-8-mercaptooctanamide (NAM), which can modify surface of AuNPs and react with NO. Amide-substituted benzotriazole intermediate was formed by the reaction wtih NO and hydrolyzed, maked gold aggregation. NAM-AuNPs was enabled to analysis of NO quantitatively using UV-vis absorption spetrometry. The calculated detection limit was determined 0.2 μM. In addition, color change of AuNPs by NO was easily identified with a naked eyes. NAM-AuNPs was also induced aggregation inside macrophage cell line under liposaccharide. The present study demonstrated NAM-AuNPs has a potential as promising colorimetric sensor. |
