We investigated the separation performance and membrane stability of phthalic polymer/silver salt complexes for olefin/paraffin mixtures. Three kinds of phthalic polymers such as Poly(diallyl phthalate), Poly[trimethylolpropane/di(propylene glycol)-alt-adipic acid/phthalicnhydride] and Poly(ethylene phthalate) are complexed with AgBF4 and their performance for olefin/paraffin separation is investigated by using long-term permeation experiment, FT-IR and TEM analysis. As a result, the PEP/AgBF4 complex containing no other functional groups except phthalate and showing homogeneous mixtures in salt-polymer solution is found to exhibit higher long-term stability than other two complexes. |
