Vanadium oxide(VO2) has many different crystalline phase. Among them, M-phase vanadium oxide only exhibits reversible conversion of metal-to-insulate at transitional temperature. M-phase is insulator below transition temperature and it can be changed to conductor like metal over transition temperature due to the phase transition from M to R phase. Generally, high temperature and pressure is required to form pure M-phase vanadium oxide. But it is expensive and hard, so that hydrothermal route can be adaptable to synthesize vanadium oxide via solution process. To synthesize pure M-phase VO2, here we adjusted new hydrothermal method using VO2 seeding. |
