제목 | Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Polyimides Containing Phosphine Oxide and Adamantane Moieties |
초록 | A novel diamine, bis(4-aminophenyl)-1-adamantyl phosphine oxide (DAAPO), was synthesized from 1-bromoadamantane and diphenyl phosphinic chloride via Grignard reaction, followed by nitration and hydrogenation. The monomer was characterized by FT-IR, NMR, melting point measurement and elemental analyzer (EA), and then utilized to prepare series of polyimides with 6FDA, PMDA, BTDA or ODPA. The polyimides were synthesized by a conventional two-step synthesis; preparation of poly(amic-acid), followed by solution imidization and their molecular weights were controlled to 20,000 g/mol by off-stoichiometry. FT-IR, NMR, TGA and DSC were utilized to characterize polyimides and solubility, intrinsic viscosity, and dielectric constant were also measured. All polyimides were soluble in polar aprotic solvents such as NMP and DMAc, while some polyimides were soluble in CHCl3 and THF, and thus intrinsic viscosities of polyimides were evaluated in NMP at 25℃, showing 0.21-0.24 dL/g. The polyimides also provided very high Tg (343-358℃), excellent thermal stability in air (>500℃) and very low dielectric constant (2.49-2.62). |
