In developments of nano- and bio-technologies, convergence medical systems in which diagnosis and treatment can be performed in one step process have been received a great attention. In this study, we prepare hybrid nanoparticles that can applied for both magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and photothermal therapy by absorbing near infrared light. The hybrid nanoparticles were assembled by forming phase-separated thin films of a conjugated polymer, phospholipid and Fe3O4 nanoparticles. When we shattered the films by water penetration into polar region of the films, nanoparticles of the conjugated polymer in which Fe3O4 nanoparticles were embedded were successfully prepared as a water dispersion. We examine the property of our hybrid nanoparticles as a MRI contrast agent and photothermal agent in vitro and in vivo. |
