제목 Fabrication of Robust Coatable Patterned Polarizer from Lyotropic Liquid Crystalline Dyes by the Combination of Top-down and Bottom-up Methods
초록 We thought that as long as we have molecular functionality, their corresponding polymer materials must also possess the same functional properties. In reality, we have failed many times in designing and achieving the materials. Therefore, we need to control the hierarchical structure and morphology to transfer and amplify molecular functions to the ultimate physical property of the materials at a specific length scale. By the combination of top-down and bottom-up methods, we successfully fabricated the coatable patterned polarizer from lyotropic liquid crystalline dyes. Additionally, we significantly improved the mechanical and chemical stability of the coatable polarizer by introducing ionic polymerizable monomers as solvents.
