Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) and poly(ε-caprolacton) (PCL) are widely used for tissue engineering scaffold because of their biocompatibility, biodegradability and non-toxicity. An electrical charge is used to make ultra fine fiber from a polymer solution by electrospinning. This method is very simple process and low cost. In this study, we first optimized conditions to fabricate nano/micro hybrid fiber mats by electrospinning with two separate nozzles from PLGA and PCL solution for cell culture substrate. Electrospun fibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), image analysis, atomic force microscopy (AFM) and biodegradation analysis. We investigated human adult fibroblasts culture on nano/micro hybrid fiber mats and characterized by SEM and MTT assay. As a result, proliferation of fibrobalsts on nano/micro hybrid fiber mats were higher than that on nanofiber mats and microfiber mats. |
