Volume phase transition of light-responsive hydrogels depends on thermal behavior |

In this work, we have investigated volume phase transition of light-responsive hydrogels of various chemical composition. Thermal behavior of hydrogels could be controlled by copolymerization of temperature responsive hydrogels. We have found that volume phase transition induced by irradiation of light depends on the thermal behavior of hydrogel and the temperature of swelling media. Consequently, light responsibility of hydrogel is adjustable by the composition of the copolymers and temperature. |
