In this study, a calcination process was used for the synthesis of crystalline ZrO2 nanoparticles from an amorphous zirconia synthesized by co-precipitation method with different pH titrations. ZrO2 nanoparticles showed different crystal structure and particle size, after calcination from amorphous ZrO2 nanoparticles. The crystalline ZrO2 nanoparticles was characterized through XRD, TEM, SEM, DRS and FT-IR. The results of XRD showed that after calcination process, the synthetic pH was increased 7 to 12 for ZrO2, the crystal structure transformed from mixture of monoclinic and tetragonal to pure tetragonal and then to cubic structure. According to TEM observations and SEM analysis, it was found that the ZrO2 nanoparticle has an average particles size of 13-20 nm. |
