We report here the theoretical study on the phase behavior of diblock copolymers from polystyrene (dPS) and poly(n-propyl methacrylate) (PnPrMA) and from PS and poly(n-pentyl methacrylate) (PnPeMA). The recently formulated Hartree analysis by Cho based on the compressible RPA is to be used. It is shown that an effective Flory-type interaction parameter χcRPA, which carries not only the change in contact interactions but also compressibility difference between blocks, was shown to play a central role here in understanding the phase behavior of those two copolymers. The comparison of the molecular parameters describing the two copolymers is performed to elucidate the difference in their phase behavior including the pressure responses of their order-disorder transitions.
