Stress whitening of polymer is aesthetically undesirable because the white marks give a prominent contrast with color of the article. Scratches also induce stress raisers and can reduce the mechanical strength of polymeric materials. In this study, materials with enhanced scratch hardness by using HMSPP exhibited lower scratch visibility than one of the general polypropylene composites, and the surfaces have high interaction of molecular chain. We investigated the characteristics of scratch resistance of polypropylene composites under the variation of composition and contents of HMSPP. |
