Previously, pores of PS-b-PMMA thin films with diameters as low as 3nm only via crosslinking by ozone the matrix surrounding the cylindrical microdomains are reported. But owing to small volume contractions of PS matrix, there is a limitation to increase the pore size. The attention of our study is to find out the condition of controlling the pore size widely, which is tunable by using BCB crosslinking unit. In this work, we use PS-b-PMMA copolymer with the reactive benzocyclobutane (BCB) functionality randomly incorporated into the PS backbone, having PMMA volume fraction of ~0.3 with various BCB amount from 3% to 16% synthesized by RAFT. After finding out optimized ordering condition with that process, increasing the temperature for crosslinking the BCB will be followed. By competing effect of ordering and crosslinking, we expect the wide range of pore size control. |
