Preparation of PCL microsphere-based scaffolds and surface modification for improving the biocompatibility |
초록 |
Polymeric scaffolds play a crucial role in tissue engineering for the replacement of the damaged tissues including human bone tissues. In this study, we studied on the fabrication of 3D PCL scaffolds. PCL is relatively nontoxic and possesses sufficient mechanical strength, biocompatibility, and thermal stability for medical applications. we prepared PCL microspheres and constructed 3D scaffold via thermal treatment. The surface of the scaffold was modified using ceramic coatings. Our results demonstrated that the hydrophilicity and cell proliferation on the scaffold were significantly improved. |
