The key parameter for control charge recombination in dye sensitized solar cell is the spatial/physical separation between cations on the hole transport layer and photoinduced electrons on the surface of the TiO2 electrode. We synthesized and characterized polyfluorene copolymers with triarylamines for rectifying the previous point. The composition of triarylamine parts are varied in the range of 20% ~ 100% in the copolymers. However, the ionization potentials of the polymers are identical, independent on the composition of the amines, indicating that the first electron is released from the amine part. We studied charge transfer reactions at the interface between conducting polymers and dye using transient absorption spectrophotometer. The content of triarylamine in the copolymers did not affect on the charge transfer quantum yields from dye to conducting polymers, indicating that further functionalization could be possible to optimize the interface. |
