제목 Antibacterial Properties of Electrospun Ag/Mn2O3 Hybrid Nanofibers
초록 In this work, Ag/Mn2O3 hybrid NFs have been successfully fabricated by a facile two-step procedure consisting of electrospinning and subsequent calcination of AgNO3-Ni(NO3)2-PVP sol-gel. FESEM and TEM were employed to characterize the morphologies of as-prepared nanofibers, which revealed that tiny Ag NPs were dispersed in Mn2O3 matrix and the whole nanofibers displayed a rough surface and porous structure. The crystallographic structure and chemical composition of calcined product were investigated by XRD. Thus obtained hybrid NFs showed excellent antibacterial activity towards Escherichia coli (E. coli). These results suggest that Ag-Mn2O3 hybrid electrospun NFs are a promising nanomaterial as a good alternative for the development of new bactericides.
