제목 | The role of solvents in the preparation of porous electrodes for proton exchange membrane fuel cells |
초록 | Porous electrodes in membrane electrode assembly are formed by the mixture of ionomer, catalyst, and solvents ultimately to make triple-phase boundary by evaporating solvents. The performance of the electrodes was greatly influenced by the formulation of catalyst slurry and preparation procedure since the structure of the electrodes could be formed by different sizes of agglomerates of catalyst and ionomer binder which was significantly affected by the interaction between ionomer binder. In this study, the effect of solvents in catalyst slurry was investigated in terms of performance and durability. MEAs with different electrodes prepared by different ionomer binder solutions were investigated in terms of current-voltage polarization, cyclic voltammetry and overvoltage.
