To increase the capacity of LIBs, Sn basedalloys including tin oxides have recently received much attention. Unfortunately, it's not successful to apply the alloys to LIBs due to their rapid capacity decay during charge/discharge processes. One possible way to resolve this is to use Sn nanoparticles supported on an active material which can accommodate significantly large volumetric change. In this study, tin oxide nano-particles were supported on graphite by a reduction method. Various techniques such as Raman, XRD, and TEM have been used to characterize the Sn based nanocomposites. In addition, we performed cell tests for the Sn based electrode; charge/discharge, CV, EIS. |
