Application of a crosslinkable poly(ethylenedioxythiophene) derivative as an anode buffer layer in organic light-emitting diodes |
초록 |
Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) have gained many interests due to their potential application as future flat panel display. Up to now, many efforts have been made to improve the efficiency and the lifetime of the devices. A buffer layer was usually interposed between the ITO and the organic layer to improve the performance of OLEDs. Being the most widely used buffer layer in OLEDs, PEDOT:PSS has been a target for improvement. ITO/PEDOT:PSS interface is not stable due to the etching of ITO by the strong acidic nature of PSS(pH=1.5-1.8). The degradation of interface can act as a defect site and lead to deterioration of the device performance, especially its long-term stability. Here we synthesized poly(ethylenedioxythiophene) derivative contained triple bond in the end of side chain. It can be soluble in common organic solvents like chloroform, benzene, and toluene, and crosslinkable by thermal treatment. We fabricated OLED devices using this material as an anode buffer layer instead of PEDOT:PSS and investigated their possibility of buffer layer. |
