Single-walld carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are excellent candidate for use as fillers in polymer composite because of their sp2-hybridized carbon structure, which result in outstanding electronic properties of SWCNTs. Recently, the study on dispersion of SWCTNs using amphiphilic block copolymer has been carried out extensively. However, there have been no reports on the comparative study of polymeric dispersants of SWCNTs with high aspect ratios. In this study, we carried out comparative study between block copolymer and random copolymers as polymeric dispersants for the dispersion of SWCNTs in solvent. In addition, block and random copolymers with various monomer compositions were synthesized and investigated the effect of monomer compositions on dispersion of SWCNTs. The structures of synthesizd polymers were confirmd by 1H NMR spectroscopy and GPC. Furthermore, TEM, SEM, AFM, NIR and turbiscan were used to analyze the dispersibility and the stability of SWCNTs dispersion. |
