Herb extracts have been used by humans for their antifungal, antimicrobial, insecticidal, cytostatic and therapeutic activities. Antimicrobial PLA nanofibers mixed with herb extracts were prepared from electrospinning system. In this study, herb extracts used to Lemon myrtle, Pine and Thyme. The prepared PLA nanofibers containing herb extracts were observed by a field emission scanning electrospn microscopy(FE-SEM). Antimicrobial activities of PLA nanofibers containing herb extracts were evaluated by disc diffusion test, vafour diffusion test against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Also, volatile component of Herb extracts were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(GC-MS). |
