제목 High-Luminescent Rare Earth Materials: from Phosphors to Complexes
초록 The design and investigation of Eu(III) and Tb(III) complexes with organic ligands has attracted great interest due to their applications in efficient light-conversion molecular devices and organic light-emitting diodes, since they show the hypersensitivity in the red and the green luminescence, respectively. The practical application of organic lanthanide complexes, however, is hindered by shortcomings, such as their low thermal and chemical stabilities or complicated and their complicated, low-yield synthesis. We are very interested in the synthesis and characterization lanthanide complexes with preferably charged oxygen anion atoms, such as polycarboxylates and organophosphates, and a sensitizer. These ligands are versatile chelating agents with negatively charged oxygen atoms. We have synthesized Eu(III) and Tb(III) complexes using these ligands as a bridging chelate, and phenanthroline, dipyridyl or dipyridylamine as a sensitizer, and have characterized their crystal structures and luminescence properties. In addition, a divalent Eu ion emits bright blue luminescence. We have prepared Eu(II)-doped phosphors and Eu(II) complexes with organophosphates, and also have characterized their luminescence properties.
