In this work, activated carbons (ACs) were prepared with KOH activation method as a function of temperature (600, 700, 800, 900, and 1000oC), in order to investigate the relationship between the porosity and the Li+ adsorption behavior. The porosity of ACs was analyzed N2/77K adsorption isotherms. The microstructures were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The Li+ adsorption capacity was determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. From these results, it was found that the porosity of ACs was increased with increasing the activation temperature, resulting from the improved specific surface areas which can the more adsorbable Li+. |
