Influence of Grafting on Physicochemical Properties of Aminized Graphene/Poly(methylmethacrylate) Composites |

In this work, we prepared aminized graphene-grafted poly(methyl methacrylate) (NH-GR-g-PMMA). Aminized graphene using ethylene diamine was grafted with PMMA via the chemical reaction between amine groups and acrylate. The effect of the aminized graphene on physicochemical properties of PMMA-based nanocomposites was investigated. The thermal and mechanical properties of the PMMA nanocomposites were remarkably enhanced by the graft reaction with NH-GR. This increase was attributed to the strong interaction by the grafting reaction between NH-GR and the PMMA matrix. |
