제목 | Design and Synthesis of New Second-order NLO chromophore |
초록 | Large second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties have been the subject of considerable research efforts due to their potential applications in areas, such as optical modulation, molecular switching, optical memory and frequency doubling. In general, a NLO chromophore, an asymmetric π-conjugated charge transfer organic molecule, consists of both electron acceptor and donor groups connected by an electron-transmitting bridge. A lot of effort has been devoted to enhance the electro-optic (EO) coefficient of NLO chromophore for two decades. Recently R. Dalton have shown the new approach to get a NLO chromophore with very high EO coefficient. Their chromophore had extended π-conjugation for high molar extinction and alicyclic bridge for better solubility. In this study, we demonstrate that another new approach to get a choromophore with all trans configuration even with a extended conjugation. We will discuss a design, synthesis and characterization of the new materials, by using H1-NMR, Mass spectroscopy and UV-spectrometer. |
