E-Beam Synthesis of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials for the Reduction of the Excimer Formation in Polyfluorenes |

To inhibit the aggregation or excimer formation of poly(di-n-didodecylfluorene)s (PF) in light-emitting during annealing at high temperatures, organic-inorganic hybrid materials of 2,7-dibromo-9,9-didodecyl-fluorene were prepared by non-hydrolytic sol-gel reaction. The PF rod-segment was synthesizes by the Yamamoto-type coupling of 2,7-dibromo-9,9-didodecyl-fluorene using a Ni(COD)2. 3-(triethoxysilyl)propylisocyanate was added and non-hydrolytic sol-gel reaction of the silyl-terminal PF rod segments with inorganic precursors and diols was performed at 80oC. In order to synthesized the hybrid matrix, an organic compound of FBPA was reacted with an inorganic precursor ATMS. To prepare the hybrid material by sol-gel processing, an inorganic precursor, ATMS and Ba(OH)2H2O containing silane group were mixed. This mixture was dropwised and E-beam synthesis of the unreacted C=C bonds of ATMS was performed using DPA. The photoluminescence spectra were measured during annealing at high temp. |
