Synthesis and Characterization Anthracene Derivatives for OTFT |

Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) have attracted intense interest in recent years because of their potential applications in active-matrix displays and integrated circuits (ICs) for logic and memory chips. As we know, fluorene has good thermal and chemical stability. On the other hand, poly(3-hexylthiophene) and anthracene exhibit a high charge-carrier mobility, and the alkyl chains on the anthracene moiety can help promote self-organization. Thus, we have selected anthracene and 3-alkylthiophene or dialkylfluorene to synthesis polymers, expecting to be used in organic thin film transistor (OTFT) and achieve high mobility. The polymers were confirmed by FT-IR, 1H-NMR. The thermal, physical and optical properties of the polymers were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimatric analysis (TGA), cyclic voltammetry (CV), optical absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The OTFT will be fabricated and discussed further. |
