Among various energy storage systems, supercapacitors, also known as electrochemical capacitors, can store high energy and transport high power within a very short period and are therefore projected to be one of the best candidates for portable electronic devices and hybrid electric vehicles. Recently, Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have been directly used as electrode materials for supercapacitors and received some attention. Subsequently, we could obtain the better properties for the supercapacitor electrode materials by the electrochemical characterizations by synthesizing Ni-Zn-MOF in one-pot by hydrothermal method. Furthermore, we have studied the optimal ratio of Ni and Zn to give the best specific capacitance. The morphology and chemical structure of the composites was examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) tests by battery tester. |
