제목 Effect of polymer encapsulation on the stability of quantum dot dispersed in UV curable resin
초록 For application in optical film of LED, we disperse CdSe/ZnS quantum dots covered with octadecylamine in epoxy acrylate, which is widely known as UV curable resin. We coated the resin onto Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film and cured it by UV irradiation. To improve dispersion stability of quantum dots, quantum dots were encapsulated with polyethylene waxes (PE wax) with certain degree of oxidation. As a result of encapsulation, absolute quantum yield and stability of the film were found to be improved. PE wax encapsulation will be confirmed using dynamic light scattering (DLS) by measuring hydrodynamic diameter of QD and also TEM image analysis. Long-term stability of the cured film will be measured by UV-Vis spectroscopy and absolute quantum yield.
