제목 Preparation of black diatom colloids for solar-to-steam generation
초록 The vapour generation system from solar power using photothermal converters has been considered as powerful techniques for advanced renewable energy needs. In order to apply various steam generation device using photothermal converters, the tailored photothermal converters are required for high efficiency of vapour generation. The adequate structure engineering methods and surface treatments are helpful to improve steam generation efficiency. Herein, we propose colloidal type of photothermal converters using diatom frustules for solar-to-steam generation system. The diatom frustules provide porous that has advantage in terms of mass transfer. Additionally, several coating process via vapor deposition polymerization provide broadband absorption, magnetic, and self-water floating properties to colloidal diatom photothermal converter. Under sun light irradiation, the prepared black diatom photothermal converter shows high efficiency of vapour generation via photothemal conversion.
