Highly conductive polyaniline for flexible polymer electrode |

We have synthesized a well-ordered conducting polyaniline doped with camphor sulfonic acid (PANI:CSA) via self-stabilized dispersion polymerization (SSDP) method. The film of PANI:CSA shows an enhanced ‘Drude Peak’ in the infrared region with a high DC conductivity of 600 S/cm, and a high transmittance in the visible region. We fabricated flexible polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs) and solar cells (SCs) using the PANI:CSA film as an anode and polyethersulfone (PES) as a substrate. The flexible PLED shows high performance with a luminance of 2500 cd/m2 and luminous efficiency of 1.6 cd/A. In addition, flexible SC based on polymer blends of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) as the electron donor and phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) as an electron acceptor exhibits a reasonable power conversion efficiency of 1.8 %. |
