Poly(1-ethynyl-2-fluorobenzene) was synthesized via the polymerization of 1-ethynyl-2-fluorobenzene by W- and Mo-based catalysts. The polymerization was proceeded well to give the corresponding polymer in high yield. The electro-optical properties of poly(1-ethynyl-2-fluorobenzene) were measured and discussed. The cyclic voltamograms of the resulting poly(1-ethynyl-2-fluorobenzene) exhibited reversible electrochemical behaviors between the doped and undoped peaks. The kinetics of the redox process of polymer was found to be controlled by the diffusion process from the experiment plotting the oxidation current density of polymer versus the scan rate. |
