The novel anion exchange membranes were synthesized by modified polyvinylidenefluoride (MPVDF) and aminated 4-vinyl benzyl chloride without catalyst. Before aminating, MPVDF was grafted by 4-vinyl benzyl chloride using benzoyl peroxide. Through the heat treatment process and the amination reaction, anion exchange membranes were fabricated. The chemical structure of anion exchange membranes were investigated by Raman spectrometry, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry. The membrane's properties such as water uptake(W.U), ion exchange capacity (IEC),total dissolved solids (TDS)and electricresistance (E.R) were measured by titration and LCR meter etc. The IEC value, electrical resistance, and water uptake were 1.31 meq/g, 2.0 Ω·㎠ 56.2 % respectively |
