제목 Finely Tunable Fabrication and Catalytic Activities of Star-shaped Au Nanoparticles (Au SSNPs)
초록  Star-shaped gold nanoparticles (Au SSNPs) which have multi-branches with sharp edges and tips were successfully synthesized in high yield through a facile seed-mediated method using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), Brij35, Au seed nanoparticles, Ag+ ions, ascorbic acid, and sodium salicylate. The lengths of each branch of Au SSNPs were finely controlled by adjustment of molar ratio of surfactants, and in particular by the change of sodium salicylate. Also the branch lengths of Au SSNPs were controlled by different concentration of Brij35. In order to evaluate the applicability of the synthesized Au SSNPs, 4-nitrophenol reduction and ethanol electrooxidation were employed as model reactions. The catalytic performance of Au SSNPs were highly dependent on the morphology of Au SSNPs, and the higher catalytic activity was found from the Au SSNPs with the longer lengths of branches.
