The change of aniline to imine was accomplished with PdO Silica NP catalyst. PdO/SNP is a composite of oxidized Pd and silica NP, highly compatible with environment with good activity, life span and selectivity. Optimization of the catalyst under various conditions showed the best results when carried out at 70℃ in a hexane solvent. Samples were analyzed by GC. Surface propertises of the catalyst were checked by XRD, EDS mapping, SEM and TEM analysis. Formation of imine by PdO@SNP catalyst follows reaction of benzylaldehyde with aniline in a one pot reaction. |
