The variables of biodiesel production process using supercritical alcohols are reaction temperature, reaction pressure, reaction time. In this study, biodiesel production process to determine the optimum conditions using the supercritical ethanol were tested in the range of the temperature 260℃~340℃, the pressure 80bar~180bar, and the time 30min~180min. The reaction pressure can be represented by molar ratio or weight ratio of the ethanol/oil, the results of the ethanol/oil weight ratio according to the reaction pressure and reaction temperature was at 1~9. Biodiesel production results the biodiesel yield larger affected by the amount of alcohol/oil weight ratio than the reaction temperature at above the temperature about 300℃. Using these experimental data, BD yield prediction equation to determine in the biodiesel production using supercritical ethanol, and the applicability and accuracy was verified. |
