Two low-band-gap conjugated polymers were designed and synthesized with alternating difluorinated quinoxaline(DFQx) or monofluorinated quinoxaline(FQx) as an electron-deficient unit and alkoxyl substituted benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene (BDT) as an electron-rich unit. The weight-averaged molecular of PBDT-DFQx and PBDT-FQx exhibited 34kg/mol and 65kg/mol respectively. Both of the polymers had excellent thermal stability with a 5% weight loss temperature (Td) over 300°C. The absorption band in the solution displayed maximum peaks at 596-602nm, and increased about 5nm when these polymers made in the film state. Highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy level of PBDT-DFQx and PBDT-FQx showed -5.66eV and -5.52eV respectively. |
