Surface Grafting of Biocompatible Polymer Brush onto Gadolinium Oxide Nanoparticles for Magnetic Resonance Imaging |
초록 |
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a very important non-invasive technique that is used to diagnose diseases. The diagnosis of diseases through MRI is further improved by using the MRI contrast agent. In this work, biocompatible polymers were grafted from the surface of gadolinium oxide (Gd2O3) nanoparticles, and which would be the most promising way to ensure the long-term stability and low toxicity of Gd2O3 nanoparticles in human body. The surface modified Gd2O3 nanoparticles provide enhanced relaxivity while the polymer prevent the aggregation of the nanoparticles. |
